Holidays on Ice

For Photo Illustration our assignment was to shoot a cover photo for David Sedaris’ Holidays on Ice. I haven’t read it before but we did get to listen to an audio version of Santaland, which is included in the book. Anyway, it was pretty fun to think of what to shoot for this, here is my first idea:

Meh, it turned out okay but I wasn’t completely happy with it - I wasn’t really able to control the lighting like I wanted to and it was raining and gross. I was going to re-shoot the same idea but use Ryan as a model in a brighter area, but he had a better idea to crush up candy canes suggestively…
